Jason Segal grew up at Pacific Palisades, California. Though he’s of Jewish ancestry, he attended a Catholic school. Jason next attended Harvard-Westlake School and completed his high school studies there. Being 6′4″ helped him to become an active member of the state Champion Boys’ basketball team. He had the dream to become an actor since his childhood. And, he started acting in local theatre productions at Palisades Playhouse.
Jason Segal is very well known for his appearance on comedy drama series ‘Freaks and Geeks’. He also wrote a song for an episode of series.
Segel made recurring appearances on ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘ as Neil Jansen and on ‘Undeclared’ as Eric. Currently, he’s appearing as Marshall on the CBS sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother.
He also has made appearances on ‘Slackers’, ‘SLC Punk!’, ‘The Good Humor Man’, and ‘Dead Man on Campus’ etc. In 2007, he was seen in ‘Knocked Up’. In 2008, Segel appeared as the leading character on ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’. His upcoming movie ‘I Love You, Man’ is to be released on March 20th, 2009.
