Some of you who hadn’t watched the previous episode of How I Met You Mother might be wondering that what this Slapsgiving is. You are wrong if you are thinking that it’s a new festivity like Thanksgiving. OK, I’ll not keep this suspense for long. This is actually related to the previous episode of the show “Slapsgiving 2: Revenge of the Slap.” I hope now you might have got a brief idea about the title. I was surprised to hear this title, doesn’t it sound satirical. But you need not worry as the show hasn’t turned to a satire.

This episode of How I Met Your Mother which aired on November 23, 2009 was the 97th episode of the show. The episode was full of slaps as is the tradition of the gang. Here Ted describes about the Thanksgiving of 2009 when Marshall and Lily had invited the gang for a dinner. Marshall had left the dinner turkey in the cab, so Robin and Ted go to fetch it. On their return Marshall gives a slap to both of them as a slap bet. The condition was that one of them would slap Barney before sun-set.

In the meanwhile Lily’s father Mickey arrives which makes Lily to give a strange look as he didn’t want him in. He had been living in with his parents in their basement, wasting time in devising strange and useless board games. Lily had an estranged relationship with her family thus she immediately moves out and they all start playing one of Mickey’s games which spoils their turkey. Finally he is kicked out and Marshall looks for Lily.

This all was followed by a chain of slaps in this exciting episode of How I Met Your Mother. The chain goes as Robin to Ted, Ted to Robin, Robin to Mickey, Mickey to Lily but Lily breaks this order as she couldn’t slap Barney. This doesn’t end here. As Barney sits to eat, Marshall slaps him again taking the count to four. This was the end to this slap-full episode.

Practically speaking, this happens a lot in our real life as well. Without stressing on my mind too much, I can still recall my childhood days when I used to have naughty notions pertaining to my teachers. Do not worry Barney! You seem to be in the same boat in the forthcoming episode of How I met Your Mother.

I am amazed Barney! I never expected you getting involved in such a naughty act. I would love to swap sides with you. Anyhow, I like your imagination of being Lily’s husband in place Marshal. It seems more realistic to me. People fall in love with fictional stories even more, in case they are presented with a touch of realism. Let me clarify. In case any of us imagined something in real life and kept it deep inside our hearts, if same idea is implemented in a TV show, it is totally acceptable.

I feel really happy for Barney, but I am a bit confused. Did he just imagined being Lilly’s husband or is this for real? In case this is a reality, then it makes a proper sense to me. This would certainly assist Marshall to lead a much happier life. Hold on! What if Barney thinks that Marshall is unmarried? Beware Barney! Howdy, How I Met Your Mother fans? The fifth episode of the fifth season was aired on October 19, 2009 at 8 pm. This episode was named, Dual Citizenship. This episode had a lot of surprises for us. Firstly we saw how Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), persuades his love interest Robin (Cobie Smulders) to become a U.S citizen. But she appears quite unwilling to leave her Canadian heritage. This is what gave the episode its name. Then Ted (Josh Radnor) and Marshall (Jason Segel) take a road trip to Chicago to relieve a few college memories. But Lily (Alyson Hannigan) like always plays a spoilsport when she self invites herself to go with them.

The surprise in the episode was the Guest appearance of the country music legend, Kenny Rogers. This musician, well known as ‘The Gambler’ lent his voice to the song Good Bye Sparky. This song had a magical effect and perfectly fitted in the awkward situation created by Lily on the trip to Chicago.  Another surprise which awaits us in the upcoming episodes of How I Met Your Mother is the return of Alan Thicke, the man who played Robin’s father in the episode ‘Sandcastles in the Sand’ in the Season Three. He will be seen in the episode named ‘The Rough Patch’ to be aired on Nov, 9. In this episode Lily will approach him for his help to break up Robin and Barney’s relation.

How I Met Your Mother is a must watch for every one as the show takes us to the old days of happiness and helps in relieving us from day to day tensions. It’s her first child with her fiancé Taran Killam.  It was November, 2008 when Cobie made the news of her pregnancy public and in January, 2009 she got engaged with Taran. The baby is named Shaelyn Cado Killam which means ‘butterfly princess’.

Well, I think How I Met Your Mother stars have decided to give us baby-based good news. It has not been very long when Alyson Lee Hannigan-Denisof, the actress who portrays the character of Lily Aldrin on How I Met Your Mother gave birth to her daughter, named Satyana Denisof. The baby took birth on March 24, 2009 on her mama’s birthday. And, Cobie also followed her footprints. While the two ladies were pregnant, they often shared their pregnancy stories on the set of the series.

Both, Cobie and Alyson are one of the most important as well as most loved characters of How I Met Your Mother. If you would ask me about my favorite among the two, then I would definitely utter the name of Cobie a.k.a. Robin. I love the innocence and sweetness on her face.

Well guys, we all know that ‘How I Met Your Mother‘ has finished airing the fourth season. The season finale was entitled ‘The Leap‘ and was aired on May 18, 2009. Here we saw that the story of the Goat didn’t come to an end. Also, Barney confessed his love for Robin.

So, what’s next? Hey, it’s the fifth season of ‘How I Met Your Mother‘ which has been officially confirmed by the CBS Network. The season will kick off on September 21, 2009. No details about the episodes of fifth season are revealed yet!

Though How I Met Your Mother is doing wonders, the star-cast has signed other projects side by side. In this context, two names that come to my mind are of Neil Patrick Harris and Sarah Chalke, known for their roles as Barney Stinson and Stella Zinman respectively.

Attention, Neil Patrick or Barney’s fans! Your favorite, chocolaty, 36 year old guy is now also doing the Batman series’ next project Batman: The Brave and the Bold as a voice over artist. He was chosen for his characteristic of being ‘pitch perfect’.

Sarah Chalke, better known as Stella, was recently seen on a new miniseries ‘Maneater‘. The lady was thrilled to be a part of the project and was sure that it’d help her to touch new heights of success in the coming years. Sarah said “I had the best time working on that show. It was only supposed to be a week - I replaced another actress who couldn’t do it, at the last second - and then it evolved into more. That show is just so well-written and the scenes are so fun to play. I would go back there whenever they ask me”.

Hey, but it doesn’t mean that she would part her ways with How I Met Your Mother. We’ll definitely watch her in the upcoming season of the series.

Currently running with its season 4, How I Met Your Mother has been an eternal part of our TV schedules since its premiere on the CBS Network. As of now, series is ready to welcome a new name, Rebecca Budig. She is offered to portray a guest character on the drama and she has accepted it happily. She has very recently quitted All My Children, so joining ‘How I Met Your Mother’ is certainly a good opportunity. And, the lady has grabbed it without any delay.

And, you would be surprised to know that Rebecca Budig even cancelled her weekend trip on Rock the Soap Cruise with her hubby due to the shooting schedule. Great! But, it’s displeasing for those who might have planned to see Rebecca on the cruise. Well, the lady proved that her career matters more than her personal engagements.

As of now, the name of the episode which she would be appearing on is somewhere inside the dark. No exact details are releases yet but probability is that it’d be one of the season’s final episodes. What I know yet is- Rebecca would be seen as Holly, the latest girlfriend of Ted, the leading character of ‘How I Met Your Mother’. So, get ready to see Ted’s blossoming relationship with Holly very soon.

The latest episode, entitled Mosbius Designs, aired on April 13, 2009 received 9.56 million viewers. It’s very good that HIMYM is doing well. Here, we saw that Ted lost his job and started his own architectural firm. His plan to hire an intern backfired when the intern got too busy with Ted’s friends. On the other hand, Marshall worked on his intentions to make himself more valuable. The upcoming episodes of series are entitled ‘The Three Days Rule, Right Place Right Time, As Fast As She Can and The Leap to be aired on April 27, May 4, May 11 and May 18, 2009 respectively . As the title suggests, I am not the regular writer here, but I happen to download stuff from the related sites of this blog and also the team here, so with their humble permission I want to write about my first time experiences with this show, How I Met Your Mother.

First of all, let me admit that I have been dumb enough not to have any knowledge about the existence of this show, until a few weeks ago. That is, I knew about the title and all, heard that it is a great piece of work, but nothing more than that. A friend of mine met me after a long time, a month ago and became adamant that I must see the show, at least once. He tried motivating me by telling me that the show is as super as our good old Friends, which even today, we all watch so regularly.

I listened to him well, got busy in work and forgot all about the conversation when last week, another friend came visiting and this one came with the episodes of the first season of How I Met Your Mother in hand. He dumped them on my system and told me that I had to watch it.

Hence, after much pathetic kind of hesitation I watched the first season this weekend, and let me confess, I am kind of addicted. The whole concept of going to 2030, where a father is telling his children about their mother, is amazing. The humor quotient of the show is quite well too. I do not have much knowledge about the characters and actors, for which I will check this blog, as it has a lot of information for first timers like me, but that lady who plays Robin is gorgeous. The rest of the actors are amazing as well, they perform their roles very well, which is always significant in a situational comedy.

Comparing it to friends does not seem like a good idea. Although the thing where all the characters hang up at a beer bar seems somewhat familiar to the Central Perk Café in Friends, rest, no other similarity I could detect.

Yeah, you get me very right! The bride-to-be of title is Cobie Smulders, the lady who’s portraying Robin Scherbatsky on ‘How I met Your Mother‘.

As we all know, she’s pregnant with her first child with her longtime boyfriend Taran Killam. And, now they have got engaged to each other and have announced it publicly. In her latest interview given to some private channel, she confirmed that the sparkling hardware on her left hand is her engagement ring. When was asked, how and when Taran proposed her, she replied that he proposed to her over the holidays and her next statement was… no comments! The lady very smartly saved herself from revealing more details….

But, wedding bells would not ring very soon as the couple wants to welcome their baby first and wedding is their second priority. The baby is supposed to be delivered in late spring so….. wedding would be next to it!

On ‘How I Met Your Mother’, Cobie plays Robin Scherbatsky. She’s a news anchor for a fictional news channel in New York. Cobie and Taran both have appeared together on ‘How I Met Your Mother’ episodes. The couple, however not portrayed like a couple, was seen together on two episodes of series. Wishing them all the very best for the new segment of their life!

Well, as of now, ‘How I Met Your Mother’ is running with fourth Season . The most recent episode of series was aired on February 9, 2009 and it was entitled ‘The Stinsons’. Here, we saw that everyone was sure that Barney had a girlfriend so when he left MacLaren’s, they started following him. Making them shocked and surprised was the fact that Barney had a wife and child whom they never knew about. It was the fifteenth episode of the fourth season of ‘How I Met Your Mother’.

No more details are revealed yet by the network …. So don’t know whether or not ‘How I Met Your Mother’ would return with more episodes in this season! I mean, new episodes would be there definitely but the thing to consider is whether they’d be a part of the current season or the new season of ‘How I Met Your Mother’.

Ones, who were of thinking that the highest rated episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ is ‘Ten Session’, have been proved wrong by the recent episode of series ‘The Fight’. The ‘Ten Session’ got 10.7 million viewers and the reason behind that success was Britney Spears. Pop princess’ rocking performance as a receptionist named Abby brought what ‘How I Met Your Mother’ show always deserved to have. But, as of now, series has done another wonderful job and this time no beauty is there to get the whole credit of the success. The only and only reason behind the success is the hard work and efforts of the ‘How I Met Your Mother’ crew.

Well, no one of us would have ever thought that they will repeat the same success again. But, those smart people did it with ‘The Fight’. This latest episode of series received 10.49 million viewers…. A tiny difference with the earlier episode including Britney Spears. The most notable and remarkable things are- it’s the Monday night surrounded by Peanut Holiday Special, and series finale of ‘Boston Legal’ and ‘Chuck’ and ‘Heroes’ were also on air. And, it’s of no doubt that getting such a big response on Monday nights is not a joke.

Everything is going very consistently and ‘How I Met Your Mother’ has done well throughout the whole season. It received around 9 million viewers with each outing and ‘The Fight’ was amazing! If you missed it out, have a look at the major happenings of the episode. We saw that Ted wanted to prove that he’s not a milquetoast and Barney had intentions to impress Robin and it was what led them to a fight with a group of guys sitting in gang’s favorite booth at MacLaren’s. On the other hand, Lily was struggling with two kids in her class who’re also fighting.

OMG! It’s was fantastic and very entertaining one. But, but, but this is not the end of the achievements and it’d be of no surprise if the next episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ crosses 11 millions in terms of ratings!

Well, it’s pretty amazing to know that Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are likely to appear as guest characters in ‘How I Met Your Mother’ upcoming episodes. Both are very well known for their appearances on ‘The Hills’. Hey! It’s not a rumor and the fact has been confirmed by the series co-creator Craig Thomas. He recently confirmed that the infamous reality couple will appear on HIMYM playing themselves.

As of now, the couple is filming their scenes for episodes which are scheduled to be aired in January, 2009. What’s behind the white curtain? I think, it’s a sort of marketing stunt which has already worked for ‘How I Met Your Mother’ in case of Britney Spears. Well, I am a little scared this time as the decision may backfire (just considering couple’s not so-popular image). But writing crew of HIMYM is perfect and I hope they’ll make their appearance an entertaining as well as funny one. Finally, they made two insertions into the ‘How I met Your Mother’ guest list.

What’d be their role specifications? As I know, they’ll play themselves but how and why… we’ll have to wait to see that. I am excited to see them appearing on ‘How I met Your Mother’ as I personally like the couple… I know they’re not the famous celebrities but still, their act on ‘The Hills’ is praiseworthy ( at least to me). And, when it comes to ‘HIMYM’ s talented writes, expectations are high by all odds. I hope, that their appearances on such a successful as well as wonderful series, would really help them to enlarge their list of fans. But things are faraway, and we’ll have to wait to watch more of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ until Jan, 2009.

Today, I’m gonna review ‘Shelter Island’, the most recent episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother’. First of all, I must admit that the episode was brilliant and I was extremely impressed. The episode was very well written and definitely, the writers did a great job. We see that Stella is not going to be the mother and everyone was desperate to see how Ted would end up the things with Stella.

The episode really throws a curve ball at the viewers. At first, I was not sure what is to come. Well, Robin was fantastic this time. She seems very funny at the beginning but also very serious at the end of the episode. Yeah, this episode deals smartly with character development, killings and revelations as well. Moreover, the entire star cast was given a chance to shine and to make a good mark.

Okay, for those who didn’t watch this episode, here’s the little summary of this episode: Finally, Ted and Stella take the very important decision to get married in 3 days. But all these things don’t work as they anticipated and the emergence of their exes destroys the stuff. Being very honest, I think I was relieved when Stella-Ted relationship came to an end. While reading about ‘How I Met Your Mother’ on some website, I read that Stella’s character is becoming bore and I think, I do agree with that. Really, I was having no excitement with Ted marrying her.

Well, I’ll give this episode 8 out of 10. Lots of things were there which made ‘Shelter Island’ a perfect one. Overall, it was satisfying and was cool enough to make me curious to watch what’d happen next week. I mean, they people succeed to entertain us and if an episode urges you to watch next- then, I think it had served its purpose.

Neil Patrick who played Barney and Sarah Chalke who played in the hilarious all time favorite series of mine How I met your mother have come together to host the Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards. These stars will be seen together at a function to be organized at Nokia Theater at Los Angles on September 13, 2008. It has been scheduled to be aired a week later on September 20.

The Creative Art Primetime Emmy Awards are bestowed on the less celebrated but incredibly vital behind the screen artists and workers who make any show successful by their hard work and dedication but remain unnoticed most of the time. This includes set designers, editors, and cinematographers.

Hey buddies, today I am in jolly mood. I’ve just seen the episode ‘Sweet Taste of Liberty‘ of ‘How I met your mother’. The name made me curious about this episode. So I downloaded it. Actually this is episode is from season 1 and I had not seen it when it was aired. In fact I missed the whole first season. But now I regret missing it after watching it online. Hey! This episode is pretty funny, in fact the title is really suitable, and everybody out there had the real taste of liberty.

Ted and Barney get arrested at the airport for leaving their luggage and go through the long official process, instead of being with the girls they were chasing. You know how intelligent these guys are, they took that long flight because two gorgeous girls were boarding the same flight. Finally they stay at the home of a security guard of the Airport. What a nice vacation!

Gals on the show are no way less than Barney and Ted. Lily(Alyson Hannigan)and Robin(Cobie Smulders)go for a ‘Girls night out’ in a bar. There Lily feels jealous of Robin for her being single and guys offering her drinks, so she gets permission from Marshall to remove the engagement ring for a night, and even after doing that fails to attract any guy. Poor Lily! Now you will also laugh, she finally has a guy come up to her just to tell that she is sitting on a grape. Even that guy turns out to be gay. Oh Gosh, I laughed so much on this scene.

So the guy helps her in removing stain of grape from her dress and the funniest part is that, Marshall reaches there at the same time to discuss more about removing ring. He looks at the gay man and starts fighting, and when learns that he is a gay, hugs him. Now another twist comes when that gay man’s boy friend misunderstands Marshall’s hug and they have a fight right there. the episode ended leaving me rolling me with laughter.

All this was going on for Britney’s re-appearance on series

But now, all the speculations are over as Britney Spears is back on ‘How I Met Your Mother Tv Show‘. Well, I jumped happily when I first got this news and I think you’re also doing so right now. Are you?

So, this Pop sensation IS all set to return to CBS comedy hit ‘How I Met Your Mother’. Her appearance was liked so much by public and critics that she came for a second appearance.

Britney appeared on Everything Must Go aired on May 12^th as the dazzling receptionist Abby. Well, I watched this special episode only and only because of Britney and she definitely looked cute. She really do have a great comic timing and Britney, you are definitely a great comedian. Ha Ha ha

It’s yet to be seen whether her appearance will result in high ratings for the show or not. Her first appearance on series brought its highest ratings ever. When Craig Thomas, show’s co-creator says “She was better than the first time, and I think the fans will enjoy it because her return answers a larger mystery set up earlier in the series. So there’s a good reason why she’s there.”

Is there another good plot that can bring her for a third appearance? Looking forward…

To me, this episode was not outstanding, nothing great, just good enough. Everything is working perfectly, then, something happens, a very little thing which takes the show off kilter.

This is what happened with last episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother’. Episode was the funny enough and there were some moments that were great but still it was not quite like the usual rib tickling stuff I am so used to.. Watch this episode for free here.

James Van Der Beek, though not a native Canadian, can certainly fake and exaggerate the accent like a pro. Why Robin finds him so irresistible after so many years; the fact was a little odd at first. But I found it one of the most realistic reactions on TV ever, when it was explained.

Lily’s friend Michelle was incredibly funny. Robin’s musical past comes to the fore when the whole group learns about someone named Simon. Ted tries to spend more time with Stella. Meanwhile, Barney is searching for more Robin Sparkles memorabilia.

Robin(Cobie Smulders): Hey, Simon!
Simon: Ohh, look at you! You got old.
Robin: Yeah. You look great! You got hotter, like that’s possible! So…

Barney(Neil Patrick Harris): You’re the most awesome person I’ve ever known. Well, second most awesome.
Robin: Right, of course the first being you.

Barney: No, no. The first is this guy who lives in a place called the mirror. What up?

Marshall(Jason Segel): So is he the guy who, how shall I say this like a gentleman…Robin, did he take your “maple leaf”?
Robin: No, it wasn’t like that.

Where I left in my previous post? The cliffhanger was ‘could Britney be back for another episode’?

Well, now it seems that she’ll not be back and all the speculations about her appearance are dismissed by the sources. Nothing has been signed with her and no scripts are written for her as yet. However, the sources added, “The offer is there but no decisions have been made at the moment”. Meanwhile you can watch earlier episodes with her as Abby in the the series here.

Britney will be in the show, she’ll not be, what a confusion man. I think this singer-cum-actress will be back. The reason for that is, the episode in which she appeared earned the best viewers rating, so, the producers will bring her back at least for one more time.

And, I do really want to see her back on ‘How I met your Mother’ as she is one of the most gorgeous ladies ruling over the entertainment world.

Chances are very less but let’s hope that once again we all will meet Britney Spears on How I Met Your Mother.

Have you watched the latest episode of How I met your Mother named Ten Session aired on 3-24-2008. If yes, then, go ahead and read what I have to share with you buddies-

This was the special episode on which the heart throb Britney Spears made her guest appearance. And, the episode earned the series’ 10.7 million viewers. The series hit its highest rankings ever, thanks to Britney. This diva has really done an admirable job on the show.

The pop princesses played a receptionist named Abby, who’s working at Ted’s dermatologist office. In this episode, Ted Mosby(Josh Radnor) pursues a lady named Stella, but it seems that her receptionist is more interested in him.

Scrubs star Sarah Chalke, played Ted’s new love interest. The best scene of the episode was Ted’s two minute date scene ( click here to have that episode ) and most liked quote from the episode is:

Abby: Can we have sex, and then go shopping?
Barney: I like you.

Well, now the question is could Britney be back for another episode or not? Reports say that Spears will make at least one more appearance on the series.

If we look at the ratings of the episode, then, it seems obvious, that they would bring her back. But, can’t say until some official announcement, so, let’s see whether Britney Spears will back or not.
